ZXYAUDIO ZXY1590 is a studio-grade audio transformer with a 1+1:1+1 fully symmetrical balanced topology: primary and secondary each use two identical isolated windings. CMRR > 60 dB, 20 Hz – 20 kHz ± 0.5 dB, THD < 0.1%, +4 dBu, in a full-enclosure high-permeability metal case with PCB pins.
The ZXY1590 is a studio-grade audio transformer built on a fully symmetrical balanced topology. Both primary and secondary consist of two identical, isolated windings, which gives the transformer excellent common-mode rejection and lets it convert between balanced and unbalanced interfaces in either direction. It is housed in a full-enclosure, high-permeability metal case and mounts on standard PCB pins.

Physical construction and high-permeability metal shielding: full enclosure, EMI/RFI rejection, CMRR > 60 dB
Unit label: ZXYAUDIO TRANSFORMERS ZXY1590 1:1+1+1 with orientation dot
Splitting both primary and secondary into two identical, isolated windings is what makes the ZXY1590 a genuinely balanced design rather than simply a transformer with four leads. Interference that arrives equally on both conductors of a balanced line is treated as a common-mode signal and rejected: the common-mode rejection ratio is greater than 60 dB at 50/60 Hz, so hum and noise picked up along a cable run are largely removed before they reach the next stage.
The full-enclosure, high-permeability metal case blocks external EMI/RFI and stops the internal magnetic field from leaking out towards nearby sensitive circuits. Inside the enclosure the windings are mechanically protected, and the standard PCB pins allow the part to be soldered directly onto the board.
Across 20 Hz to 20 kHz the response stays within ± 0.5 dB and total harmonic distortion remains below 0.1% at the rated level, so the transformer adds no audible colour of its own. Galvanic isolation breaks the ground path between two pieces of equipment and removes ground-loop hum, while impedance matching keeps signal levels correct on both sides.
Electrical and acoustic performance: 20 Hz - 20 kHz (+/-0.5 dB), THD < 0.1%, +4 dBu
The ZXY1590 converts between balanced and unbalanced audio interfaces in either direction, isolating the two sides and matching their impedances.
